I don't understand why mountain bikes get lumped together with horses. Tires and hoofs don't have equally damaging effects on soil erosion. From a sustainability standpoint, it seems to make more sense to work with an organization (i.e. KyMBA) that is willing to put time and effort into building more sustainable trail that everyone can benefit from. Right now, the hiking trails at Iroquois are not sustainable, even for hiking. Mountain biking may be slightly more damaging than hiking, but as we've seen with Cherokee and Waverly, the goods far outweigh the bads.

You are absolutely correct! Alejandro competed in an amateur event (the Derby City Cup) recently and the end of the article was supposed to refer to that - apologies for the mix up! I've made the change. Thank you!

Interesting perspective on public art. Seems like they are doing some great things in Memorial Park. We are building a website that promotes public art in Louisville and other cities around the world. We would be thrilled if you gave us permission to use the photo of the mosaic in Memorial Park in our website. Here is a link to the page: Louisville Public Art.
I and my hunting partner are experienced hog hunters and we have been traveling to Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and Arkansas to elimate them. We are both retired military veterans and expert marksmen. We do all of our own field dressing and quartering on site. The meat is not wasted. We just harvested four in August near Eufaula, AL. I give the meat packaged and frozen to the needy. I am looking for places to go and help farmers at least cut down the population. We also have night hunting equipment to aid the hunt as most hogs move at night.
