Welcome to “Common Ground”

We’re in the process of adding content to ‘Common Ground,” so stay tuned!

In the meantime, you can find a lot of great information about your Metro Parks at www.metro-parks.org and the social media links (we’re also on Facebook, Twitter and Flickr!)  on the right-hand margin of this site.

But even with those wonderful tools at our disposal, the picture of all the wonderful things happening around Metro Parks isn’t quite complete. That’s why “Common Ground” is here!

Through “Common Ground,” You’ll be hearing directly from Metro Parks staff on topics such as Nature and the Outdoors, Community Involvement, Recreation and Sports, Historic Places, Park Maintenance and Arts and Events. In no way will the blog be limited to those topics, however, and we’re also looking forward to hearing from you about what you’d like to know about us.

We’re looking forward to using this space to have a dialogue with you – and know how passionately people feel about their parks. However, we ask that you be respectful in your comments and promise we’ll extend the same courtesy. Blog comments will be moderated, and for more information on that see the “Blog Comment Policy” tab at the top of the page.

Thanks for reading. And stick around … there’s more to come!
