Iroquois Amphitheater Manager
We need your help again!
Our free Monday Movie Series at the Iroquois Amphitheater begins June 7 with a showing of the classic film Casablanca at 8:30 p.m. The schedule of movies for this season was developed in part with the suggestions made at Common Ground and through our social networking sites.
This year, we have some great musical acts scheduled for the Amphitheater, including Travis Tritt, the Black Keys and Cross Canadian Ragweed. As we continue to establish the Amphitheater as one of the great concert venues in the region, we’re looking for more suggestions.
Who are some acts you’d like to see play at the Amphitheater? What types of music would you like to see performed there? Beyond music, are there theater or dance acts that might be successful? Is there one particular performer or band that you think would fill the 2,402 seats at the Amphitheater?
We are excited to showcase this great facility, which was created in 1938 through the federal Works Progress Administration program and is the official amphitheater of the state of Kentucky. Additionally, we are looking to generate revenue through ticket sales at the Amphitheater by hosting these events with the hopes that profits can eventually support other great Metro Parks programs, including ones focused on the arts, theater and recreation.
So, who do you think would be a good fit for the amphitheater? Let us know below or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any ideas, and thank you for your continued support!
