Reading is one of the most therapeutic and relaxing activities that someone participate in.  Reading can bring great memories and completely take you to another place and escape the everyday stresses and pressures of the world.

Reading great books and discussing these books with a group of people makes it even better.  We have all read a book and then called a friend to tell them about it or share our opinion or view of what we just read.

Why don’t you come and join us with our book club and do just this – escape, share, socialize and spend some time with some wonderful people who are very passionate about books and what they read.

The Coffee Talk Book Club meets at Douglass Community Center each Tuesday from 1 – 2:30 p.m.  Each week we read about 3-4 chapters and then come together to enjoy coffee, refreshments and good discussions.  If meeting weekly isn’t your cup or tea – or should I say coffee – then you can join us once a month to discuss the book in its entirety.

Our next book discussion will start on November 9  and we will be discussing the book Sundays at Tiffanys by James Patterson.  If you prefer not to meet weekly, then join us on December 7, when we will do an overall discussion of this book.

For more information or to register, please call 456-8148.

Unfortunately, you are not in my area. I do enjoy reading, and do a lot of it. At night I read a page or two while I’m getting warm, and it puts me to sleep. That’s not the most enjoyable reading I do, however. I love to read to relax. Can’t just sit and do nothing but rest.
